indicator-appmenu-tools software package provides Tools for debuging application menus., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install indicator-appmenu-tools
indicator-appmenu-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the indicator-appmenu-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep indicator-appmenu-tools *
You will get with indicator-appmenu-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
